The Word For Today

UCB's Word For Today is an inspired daily resource for many people. It is written by Bob and Debbie Gass and has touched many lives since it was first distributed.  We send it out online to the members of our church and it arrives on their computers early each morning to encourage them.  WFT is part now of an extensive media ministry involving TV and Radio and is based at Hanchurch in the UK....read UCB's story below and then CLICK HERE and you can go to WFT to receive your " daily bread".

In The Beginning...

UCB's first office was a borrowed bedroom in a Christian's flat with a second-hand filing cabinet costing £30 and a typewriter at £25. They borrowed a desk and chair and our receptionist came to work on a borrowed bicycle.
Exceptionally humble beginnings for a ministry with a national vision, however, as Jesus said in Matthew 17:20, 'I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'

Those times were very hard for them, with everyone on staff working as volunteers because they could not afford to pay wages but God met their needs through miraculous provision of materials and the un-ending generosity of their supporters.image

In 1994 UCB was able to acquire the semi-dilapidated Hanchurch Christian Centre situated on the edge of Stoke-on-Trent and after renovation they ended up with a purpose built facility to house their broadcasting studios and offices. It is from here that the WFT is co-ordinated and distributed along with the several dedicated radio channels and UCB TV.   CLICK HERE TO LISTEN LIVE TO UCB INSPIRATIONAL
